Mitch & Ellicia

Mitch and Ellicia were simply born to dance, and joining forces has seen them explode with success. They have truly made their mark on the Latin Dance industry in Australia, Europe and Asia, as well as bedazzling many corporate and commercial clients worldwide.
Experts in Salsa, Bachata, and Bachatango, together they are the current Australian Salsa Open Champions, the current New Zealand Dancesport Latin Champions for Salsa and Bachata, quarter finalists at the 2012 World Salsa Open Puerto Rico, and the 2010 Australian Bachata Teams Champions.
They are avid staff members for Latin Dance Australia in Sydney and also run Latin classes at the Village Performing Arts.
Between them they have 34 years experience in the dance industry, and their diversity in dance style expertise sets them apart from many other Latin acts, having extensive training combined in Salsa, Bachata, Bachatango, Zouk, Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Musical Theatre, Tap, Cabaret, Bollywood, Burlesque, and Adage.
Their experiences have taken them to more than 30 countries teaching and performing many dance styles, thus making them one of Australia’s most travelled professional dance couples.
With corporate and commercial show acts which are second to none, Mitch and Ellicia incorporate highly technical show tricks and lifts that give their shows that incredible heart-stopping wow factor. Through Mitch’s acrobatic skill and strength, and Ellicia’s 25 years ballet training, this makes their performances exquisite to watch.
Their entourage of corporate events include companies such as: Aussie Home Loans, Hyundai, Sydney Morning Herald, the Intercontinental Hotel Beijing, National Australia Bank, Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Chartered Practising Accountants, Nestle, Sydney Food Festival, and Star City Casino to name a few.
They have also had the privilege of performing and/or teaching and/or judging for the Crowne Plaza Wuzhou Beijing China, Malaysian Salsa Festival, Bangkok Salsa Fiesta, G’Day Hollywood Productions, Cheeky Entertainment, Burlesque Spectacular, Friedrichs Promotions, Di Heaton Dancers, 7 Flavours, Viva Italia, Wow Factor Events, Darling Harbour Fiesta, the Sexy & Sensual Festival London, Trier Bachata & Zouk Festival (Germany), Sydney Latin Festival, Sydney International Bachata Festival, New Zealand Pacific Salsa Congress, New Zealand Bachata Festival, South Australian Bachata State Titles, Victorian Bachata State Titles, Melbourne Latin Festival and many more.
Mitch and Ellicia are most recently well known for making many of the Australian Latin dance scene fall in love with the style of ‘Bachatango’, a fusion style dance that combines Bachata and Tango.
